In the other windows of DOSBox do there popup interrresting information bits? I set mine to 3, cycles per second, maybe that’ll change anything? The SysEx data seems to be going fine: Again, the volume does decrease, but still only a whisper when maxed. I’m sure the sound content is correct — only too low. As computers became rolnad powerful, the features offered in “intelligent mode” became obsolete, as implementing them in the host system’s software became more efficient than paying for dedicated hardware that will do them.

The sound was just fine. Hardware — seemed fine. I am not sure about this, but looks like there are versions of MT with and without the headphone jack mine is without. I have an Atari that works, but I have no software for it.

I have a Gravis Ultrasound ACE, but from what I hear the full Ultrasound is not particularly incompatible with the Adlib or Sound Blaster, so its Adlib port disabling feature is not a great selling point.
