Starting with the Windods Updatemajor updates to Windows 10 will now remove unsigned drivers. This option requires no OS understanding. Installed drivers yet it also reports no driver found. Thanks and congratulations to all who contributed! Just a thought as I am no expert on computers! So, once installed using the unsigned drivers process, will the drivers stay working once the computer goes back to normal or do I need windoas do that every time I want to use the LI-USB?
We have developed an alternative method for connecting to an XpressNet based system which should prove to be more cost effective on XpressNet based systems that do not support programming or feedback via the LI, LIF, or LIF computer interfaces, or for those who are interested in experimenting with computer control, but don’t need all the features supported by the Lenz interfaces.
My Lenz CD is damaged Andi.
This device does not require an XpressNet connection. Some more work to do but what I don’t know as yet.
Posted 29 November – I think I tried the FDTI site earlier on when the laptop was running W7 starter not tried with W7 HP, have downloaded again from the web site and will try again this afternoon. The Atlas Commander provides support only for operation of equipment on a layout running trains and throwing switches from JMRI. The driver for this is integrated into Windows 10 which means you just plug it in and it works.
I iwndows surprised a company the size of Lenz do not do so.
